Go Knights!

Dear MGA Community,

As we enter the fall sports season, I want to reflect on what an incredible year 2025 has already been for Knights Athletics. Last spring brought historic achievements as our Knights men's basketball program competed in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Tournament for the first time in school history. Meanwhile, our Knights softball team completed an outstanding sweep, capturing both the regular season title and the 2025 Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Tournament championship.

The momentum from the spring continued this summer, as we welcomed new coaches to three of our teams – Cara MacFarland for volleyball, John Green for cross country, and Steven Rhodes for women’s basketball. We kicked off the start of our second decade as a University with a historic milestone, as we were accepted into the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II for provisional membership and are now competing as the newest member of the Peach Belt Conference. Also, we have significantly improved our athletics facilities in recent months. Just last week, we celebrated the formal opening of our new facility at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course, positioning MGA as the premier destination for distance running in our region.

As we embrace this exciting new chapter, I encourage every member of our community to live out our core value of Engagement by supporting our Knights. Whether you're cheering from the stands or supporting our teams in other ways, your involvement makes a difference. And beginning today, you have an opportunity to support our student-athletes through the annual Knights Give campaign.

I am grateful for the dedication of our athletes, the leadership of our coaches, and the steadfast support of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and local communities. Together, we are not just building championship programs but also shaping character, creating lifelong memories, and leaving a legacy for future generations of Knights.

I look forward to seeing you at some games and matches this year.

Go Knights!

Chris
